Camping & Picnic Fair in Southkorea

Korea's Camping & Picnic Fair is one of the most influential camping exhibitions in Korea, held in Goyang/Seoul at the beginning of every year. Since 2013, the camping industry in Korea has developed greatly and has shown high growth since then.

The Camping & Picnic Fair offers a wide range of products related to camping, picnic, outdoor activities and recreational vehicles. The products of the various exhibitors in Korea are not only of high quality, but are also known for their great designs.

Strong growth of the industry

The caravanning market in Korea is the fastest growing market in the world. In 2022, there were four times as many new motorhome registrations and almost twice as many recreational vehicles compared to 2018.

TOP 10 in the German export statistics

Around 1,000 caravans are exported from Germany to South Korea every year - this puts Korea in the TOP 10 countries in the German export statistics. A total of 2,000 caravans are exported from Europe to South Korea every year.

Rapid growth in the vehicle fleet

Over the years, the fair has built up a young vehicle fleet with a high European share. Since 2015, the vehicle stock in Korea has been growing rapidly. The stock of caravans in 2022 was 10,000, there are 28,000 motorhomes and 38,000 recreational vehicles.

Numerous manufacturers in South Korea

According to KRVIA estimates, there are between 300 and 400 manufacturers in South Korea - including many self-builders, especially in the van sector.

Camping and tent infrastructure already in place

There is already great interest in camping in Korea. There are around 2,300 registered campsites. The Korean population is also high-income, with a GDP per capita of around 32,000 USD (2022, Statista).

Fair with a consistently high number of visitors

The Camping & Picnic Fair has a consistently high number of visitors. In 2024, around 70,000 visitors and over 160 exhibitors took part in the fair.
