Allgäu - A winter fairytale - Winter camping in the Alps
Speaker: Uwe Hamm
Type of lecture: Multivision show
Why wander far and wide when the good things are so close? What Goethe once put into melodic verses is also being discovered by more and more campers. Because there are also many great places in Germany that are waiting to be discovered. This year, Uwe & Marion are heading back home: to beautiful Allgäu! But at a very special time of year. Who said you can't go camping in winter? So full gas bottles in the mobile and off they go! For several weeks they roam the area between Lake Constance and Obersdorf, climb snowy mountain peaks in the Allgäu Alpine region, look over the shoulder of a horned sledge maker at work, learn how traditional lederhosen are embroidered, walk through picturesque mountain villages and visit the famous royal castles near Füssen. Impressive pictures and video footage show the special beauty of this holiday region and make it clear that the Allgäu has a very special charm, especially in winter.

At the end of the tour, the wonderland of Auvergne awaits with its bizarre volcanic cones.
