Bürstner Habiton 2026: Mercedes meets innovation - the variable campervan under 6 meters

  • Patented sliding bath for maximum flexibility day and night
  • Travel in comfort in less than 6 meters: two single beds, half dinette, kitchen and bathroom
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as the basis - optionally with rear-wheel drive (from €72,999) or all-wheel drive (from €86,999)
  • Optimized interior with folding beds, sliding bathroom and clever storage space organization

Kehl, August 6, 2025- With the new Habiton, Bürstner is launching an innovative campervan based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for the 2026 season - compact, suitable for everyday use and technically sophisticated. Less than 6 meters long, but with two real single beds, optional pop-up roof, patented sliding wet cell and spacious semi-dinette, the Habiton sets new standards in the compact premium campervan class.

The Bürstner Habiton: compact class with character

The Habiton is clearly positioned in the Mercedes camper van segment - but with a clear USP: more space in less length. This is made possible by a patented wet cell that can be pushed forward during the day to create space in the seating area. In the evening, it can be pushed back so that the two single beds can be fully folded out.

The kitchen has also been thought through: it is equipped with a sink, gas stove and compressor refrigerator - and remains accessible from the outside. This makes the Habiton a flexible everyday companion.

A sense of space meets technology: versatile on the inside, compact on the outside

Whether in two-person mode or with the optional pop-top roof for up to four berths - the Habiton impresses with its versatility. The semi-dinette with swivel front seats, together with the flexible bathroom solution and folding beds, creates a surprisingly open feeling of space.

A wide range of decor and upholstery options offer individualization at series level - and yet remain production-friendly, calculable and affordable.

From production

"Working with the new Mercedes chassis was challenging - especially in combination with our patented sliding bath solution. But it was precisely this challenge that spurred us on. We wanted a vehicle that offers real living comfort for four people in less than six meters - something that doesn't exist in the industry. Our biggest challenge was to combine this technical innovation with a standardized, production-optimized interior variety and an attractive price. We are particularly proud that we have succeeded in doing so."

- Felix Sturm, Director Operations & Production, Bürstner

Positioning in the model portfolio

With the Habiton, Bürstner is expanding its model range with a well thought-out Mercedes van concept in the mid-price segment. In contrast to:

  • Papillon, the entry-level model that focuses on price awareness, and
  • Signature, which appeals to design and comfort-oriented buyers in the under 3.5 t range,
  • the Habiton is aimed at mobile, active travelers with an affinity for Mercedes who do not want to compromise on living comfort in a compact footprint.

Availability:

Production of the Bürstner Habiton is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2026. It will be available from all Bürstner dealers shortly afterwards.
