Kehl, 6 August 2025: Bürstner is launching a new vehicle class in the semi-integrated motorhome segment in the 2026 season with the Signature: Premium Economy with a variable space concept, new exterior design, swivel lounge seating group and patented sliding bathroom - all under 3.5 tons. Signature replaces all current motorhome series and is aimed at discerning motorhome enthusiasts with a sense of design, spaciousness and suitability for everyday use who are looking for a fair price.

Bürstner Signature: Function meets form - and freedom

With the Signature, Bürstner redefines the segment of upmarket semi-integrated motorhomes: The vehicle offers an intelligent space concept over a length of 7.20 m, in which not a single square meter is wasted. A special highlight is the patented, rotating lounge seating group: the driver and passenger seats are integrated into the living area and can be converted into a sofa - for relaxed living in a compact space.

The likewise patented sliding bathroom brings additional flexibility to the vehicle - the bathroom can be enlarged if required without permanently blocking living space.

Design borrowings from the integrated segment

The design line clearly sets the Signature apart from the current Bürstner model ranges:

  • Monolithic GRP rear with integrated rear lights
  • Panorama mineral glass window in the front
  • T-shaped hood with flowing transitions to the bodywork
  • Standing height of 1.98 m thanks to newly shaped roof hood

All models are based on the AL-KO low frame with double floor, which provides more storage space, winter suitability and a lower center of gravity - and still remain under 3.5 tons gross vehicle weight.

Model variety for different user needs

The Signature series starts with four layouts:

  • SFT 7.0: single beds, flat front without drop-down bed
  • SFT 7.1: Single beds, with drop-down bed above the seating group
  • SFT 7.4: Queen-size bed, flat front without drop-down bed
  • SFT 7.5: Queen-size bed, with drop-down bed

For maximum individualization, Bürstner 768 offers combinable design elements in the interior, from upholstery colors to wood decors and lighting moods - an unprecedented degree of personalization in this class.

From the development

"The Signature was completely redeveloped in just six months - an extraordinary team effort. The biggest challenge was the GRP stern, which is otherwise only found in integrated models - unique in this weight class. I am particularly proud of the integration of our two patented solutions: the variable seating group with lounge function and the sliding bath. This brings a completely new level of flexibility for our customers."

- Jan Klusmann, Head of Design Development, Bürstner

Conclusion

With the Signature, Bürstner is entering a new market segment and demonstrating that well thought-out design, technological innovation and an attractive price do not have to be a contradiction in terms. While Habiton serves the compact Mercedes campervan segment and Papillon addresses the price-sensitive entry-level segment, the Signature is aimed at design-savvy, comfort-conscious campers under 3.5 t - with premium standards, but without the luxury price.
