Leutkirch, July 01, 2024- Sufficient storage space in a campervan is crucial for a comfortable and stress-free camping experience. While more and more people are discovering the freedom and flexibility of camping, the need for efficient and generous storage space is also becoming even clearer: in close cooperation with the Etrusco development department, a new model variant of the current campervan portfolio has therefore been developed. With the CV 640 PB, Etrusco is drawing on a tried-and-tested space concept from the current portfolio. However, a height-adjustable lengthways bed has been added to the rear area. The height adjustment allows Etrusco to extend the storage space while at the same time ensuring the necessary comfort in the sleeping area. The first delivery of the vehicles is scheduled for the second half of 2024.
Focus: maximizing the storage space
Whether it's to store camping equipment, personal items such as bicycles or provisions, sufficient storage space is essential to keep the living area of the campervan tidy while providing space for travelers' needs and activities. In the CV 640 PB, Etrusco has created flexible storage space by integrating a new bed option in the rear of the vehicle. Thanks to the electric height adjustment, the height of the storage space can be individually extended from 73 centimetres to up to 140 centimetres. This increases the storage space volume from around 1350 liters to 2365 liters. Compared to the regular Etrusco campervan models, the width has been increased to 111 centimetres thanks to the optimized side storage space for gas bottles. The practical thing is that if, for example, you want to transport a bike or motor scooter in the campervan itself and use the bed for sleeping or resting at the same time, this is now possible for the first time without restrictions with the new campervan variant.
"We are delighted to be able to present this new campervan layout to our customers," said Sandra Marinaro, Product Manager at Etrusco GmbH. "Our team in Italy has worked hard to develop a solution that meets the needs of modern travelers. With the new bed design, we not only offer more flexibility, but also a comfortable sleeping option that takes the camping experience in our campervans to a new level."
Proven room concept
The room concept of the new CV 640 PB camper van is based on the current CV 640 SB with an overall length of just under 6.36 meters. The design of the seating area, kitchen area and bathroom (including shower) is based on the proven standard of the current Etrusco campervan models.
The current model comes as standard on the basis of the "Fiat Ducato 35 Light Basis" with a 2.2 l Multijet and 103 kw (140 hp) engine. As an option, it is also available with a 130 kW (180 hp) engine variant with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Numerous safety and assistance systems are already available ex works as standard. These include Hillholder (Hill Start Assist), CWA (Crosswind Assist), TSC (Trailer Stability Control), cruise control and Start & Stop function.
Etrusco also attaches great importance to popular features of its campervan models. Isofix, soft-close system in drawers and overhead lockers as well as LED lighting in the interior come as standard. Etrusco models come with a seven-year watertightness guarantee ex works.
The design of the living area is based on the brand's current look and feel. The clean, modern living area with chic high-gloss cabinets conveys the typical Italian flair. The Emilia living area, which can be configured with optional extras and features a bright, open color scheme, is particularly popular with Etrusco campervan models.
Campervan availability
The new Fiat-based campervan with an innovative bed design will be available in various equipment variants and will be available from authorized dealers from the second half of 2024. The base price is EUR 58,999.
