E-Trailer expands its Linked Network with the E-Touch control panel

Control of all devices in the leisure vehicle now possible via smartphone app and touchscreen inside the vehicle

28 August 2026, Rijswijk/Düsseldorf – E-Trailer’s Linked Network is a solution for vehicle manufacturers that want to equip their caravans and motorhomes at the factory with a comprehensive smart caravanning solution. The Linked Network also integrates appliances from third-party suppliers, such as heating systems, air conditioning units and refrigerators. At the CARAVAN SALON 2026, E-Trailer will present the latest addition to its Linked Network for the first time in Hall 13, Stand C21: E-Touch. In addition to app-based control, this touchscreen control panel serves as the central operating interface inside the leisure vehicle. In future, owners will be able to control all devices connected to the Linked Network both via the app on their smartphone and via E-Touch inside the vehicle.

E-Trailer is presenting E-Touch in two versions: a 7-inch control panel that acts as the central interface for controlling all devices in the leisure vehicle, and a compact 4-inch control panel that can be installed at different locations throughout the vehicle to control individual devices.

For example, a 7-inch E-Touch can be installed near the entrance of the leisure vehicle as the central control panel for all connected devices. Several 4-inch E-Touch panels can then be installed near the bed or seating area to control individual components such as lighting, heating or air conditioning. At the same time, the owner can also remotely control the entire system from outside the vehicle using a smartphone.

“With the addition of E-Touch to our product portfolio, we are bringing our most comprehensive smart caravanning solution to the market to date,” says Rick Lenssen, co-founder and Technical Director of E-Trailer. “We have always offered a smartphone app in which users can view all our products and, since last year, control many of them as well. However, many customers told us that although using a smartphone is convenient, they sometimes want to interact with the system directly inside the vehicle. With the new E-Touch control panels, this is now possible.”

The number and type of E-Touch control panels installed in a leisure vehicle, as well as their configuration, can be fully customised thanks to the system’s modular design. Leisure vehicle manufacturers can work together with the E-Trailer team to determine exactly where the new control panels should be positioned in the vehicle and which functions they should provide. Just like the Linked Network itself, the E-Touch panels can be adapted to the requirements of each manufacturer, including colour schemes, brand styling, icons and connected modules.

Test customers wanted

In the medium term, E-Trailer also plans to introduce its Linked Network as an aftermarket solution for consumers. To support this development, E-Trailer is looking for test customers at the CARAVAN SALON 2026 who are willing to have such a system installed in their vehicle directly by E-Trailer and to share their user experiences with the E-Trailer development team.
