Messe Düsseldorf, together with the Caravaning Industrie Verband, has decided to postpone CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf until 5 to 13 September. The Press and Trade Visitor Day will thus take place on 4 September.
The postponement is based on the decision of the German Government and the States to cancel major events until 31 August 2020. Werner M. Dornscheidt, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe Düsseldorf, thanked all partners for their cooperation in this special situation: "In close consultation with the Caravaning Industry Association, major exhibitors and many other partners, we were able to agree on the new date. We are glad that we can allow all those involved to reliably plan with this joint decision. Of course, we are also in close contact with the hotel industry and all industries and trades affected by the postponements in order to find feasible solutions", says Dornscheidt.
The decision can be adjusted due to the dynamics and unpredictability of the corona pandemic and the measures taken by the federal and state governments to combat it. "The safety and health of our visitors, exhibitors and employees will of course continue to be a top priority at the coming event. Appropriate precautions will be developed and taken in partnership with the CIVD. As usual, a high level of hygiene and good medical care will be provided at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. We are closely monitoring current developments and are in direct contact with the authorities. This ensures that any new findings can be quickly discussed and measures adapted," says Dornscheidt.
Messe Düsseldorf is also examining concept adjustments in order to be able to implement the necessary safety measures for holding a leisure trade fair with public access.
