For trade visitors and media representatives, the CARAVAN SALON will already be open on Friday, 27 August. On this day, in addition to the opening press conference, there will also be numerous exhibitor press conferences.
The "Virtual Technology Days" herald a new trade fair era for the caravanning industry. For the first time, experts from all over the world will have the opportunity to participate virtually in the product presentations of exhibitors from the supplier industry at CARAVAN SALON Düsseldorf. For this purpose, videos of product presentations will be filmed at the booths in the "Technology & Components" area, showing the latest technical developments and streamed to the interested trade audience in web sessions.
This year, the "Technology Days" are aimed at overseas participants. Due to the time difference, they are divided into the main target markets of Australia (on Sept. 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CEST), North America (on Sept. 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CEST) and China, Japan and Korea (on Sept. 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CEST).

"1. Deutscher Stellplatz-Tag und Muster-Stellplatz" in the outdoor area
The sales figures of motorhomes in particular, which have been increasing for years, pose challenges for the caravanning infrastructure in Germany. If the capacities of motorhome pitches do not grow adequately, there is a threat of bottlenecks in some places. In order to promote the expansion, the "1. Deutscher Stellplatz-Tag" will take place at this year's CARAVAN SALON on Monday, 30 August.
Tourism representatives, scientists and experts, campsite operators and trade journalists will discuss current developments in motorhome tourism. The main focus will be on the economic opportunities that the creation of pitches offers to tourists and local politicians. After the positive response last year, a model pitch on the open-air site will once again show what successful pitch concepts can look like. The area and range of services, which also include individual advice, will be expanded compared to last year.
