New Truma products, competition and service

At the Caravan Salon, visitors will be able to see new products close up, take part in a competition and enjoy reliable Truma Service – at the Truma stand in Hall 13/C31.

See new products in action
The new Aventa compact roof-mounted air conditioning system will be live at the Truma stand. Visitors will be able to see and hear for themselves how compact and quiet it is. A cutaway model will offer a glimpse inside the second new product: the VarioHeat E-Kit, showing how the gas-powered VarioHeat and the additional electric heater work.

Digital wheel of fortune
Salon visitors can put their knowledge of the new air conditioning system to good use in the Truma competition. If they answer a quiz question about the Aventa compact correctly, they can play the digital wheel of fortune for a chance to win one of several attractive prizes – including the Truma iNet Box.

Truma Service

As usual, a Truma service technician will be on hand throughout the exhibition, advising customers, repairing appliances and installing new products. Trade fair visitors can arrange an appointment between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm at the entrance to the Caravan Centre and at the Truma stand in hall 13/C31. In addition, Truma technology experts will be on hand to answer questions.

Joining the iNet world made easy

Good news for digital fans: Truma is making it easy to join the world of networked RVs – and is offering the iNet Set at a permanently low special price. The iNet Set consists of the Truma CP plus iNet ready control panel and the Truma iNet Box.

App-controlled heating
The iNet Set is particularly attractive for customers who have an analogue Combi heater control panel or a CP plus in their vehicle that is not iNet-compatible. They can simply swap the control panel and install the iNet Box – and immediately start controlling their heater using the Truma App on their smartphone. In the case of Combi heaters built before 2013 – identifiable by their grey cover – the electronics will need to be replaced as well.

Truma iNet world
Customers then have the option to add more appliances to the networked system, like Truma air conditioning systems or LevelControl. The Truma iNet Set is available from all Truma Partners.

Networked and electric

Compact, powerful – and smart too: the Truma VarioHeat joins the iNet System. Customers can now control their gas heater conveniently from their smartphone via the Truma App, and network it with other appliances. For instance, connecting a Truma air conditioning system means customers can make use of automatic climate control. Or they can check their gas level via the App using LevelControl. Requirements for digital networking: the Truma iNet Box and the new Truma CP plus VarioHeat iNet ready control panel.

Additional electric heater
Truma is also launching the E-Kit – an additional electric heater for the VarioHeat. It provides an additional 1,800 W of heating power on top of VarioHeat’s 2,700 W (VarioHeat eco) or 3,800 W (VarioHeat comfort). Two 900 W heating coils can be switched on or off individually, meaning customers can warm up their vehicles even faster on cold days – exciting news for winter campers especially. Customers use the control panel or Truma App to choose whether to run the VarioHeat and E-Kit with electric power or gas, or in combination with one or two heating coils. This gives them full flexibility – depending on where their vehicle is parked and what the power supply is like. The VarioHeat E-Kit is compact, very light at just 2.2 kg and easy to retrofit. It will be available in the second half of 2018 from all Truma Partners.

Key facts – Truma VarioHeat E-Kit:
Weight: 2.2 kg
Power supply: 230 V
Heating power: 900 W (level 1) /  1,800 W (level 2)
Power consumption: 3.9 A (level 1) /  7.8 A (level 2)
Dimensions: 260 x 123 x 190 mm (L x W x H)

Less is more

Truma is launching its new Aventa compact air conditioning system in time for the Caravan Salon 2018. As the name suggests, this appliance is extremely compact and will even fit vehicles with limited roof space. “We have developed the Aventa compact specially for vans and small motor homes or caravans,” explains Bernd Gerlach, Head of European Retail Management.

Weighing in at just 27.5 kg, the new Truma Aventa compact is the lightest roof-mounted air conditioning system on the market. At the same time, it delivers efficient, extremely fast 1,700 W cooling. Thanks to its low energy consumption of 2.8 A, it is also suitable for use on camp sites with weak fuse protection.

Compact air distributor
The small air distributor is also new. Its compact design means it saves space inside the motor home or caravan as well. Four individually adjustable outlets distribute the cold air evenly to create the perfect indoor climate.

Quiet and smart
Keeping the noise level down was a key design focus. The new roof-mounted air conditioning system is very quiet and includes the tried-and-tested sleep function with reduced fan operation. Restful nights and unstressed camp site neighbours guaranteed! Of course, the Truma Aventa compact can be conveniently controlled using the Truma App and can be connected to the Truma iNet System. This means that customers with a Truma Combi, Truma VarioHeat or Alde heater can also use the automatic climate control.

It is not just the appliance that has been well designed – Truma has thought carefully about installation as well. Special mounting frames ensure fast, watertight installation – even on textured van roofs.

Additions to the Aventa family
The new Truma Aventa compact replaces the Aventa eco, Truma’s previous “small” roof-mounted air conditioning system. In January 2019, the Aventa family will welcome another new member – the powerful 2,200 W Aventa compact plus. “This, together with the large 2,400 W Aventa comfort, completes our air conditioning portfolio and means we have the perfect system for every cooling requirement,” says Gerlach.

The Aventa compact is available from all Truma Partners from the end of August 2018.

Key facts – Truma Aventa compact:
Weight: 27.5 kg
Cooling capacity: 1,700 W
External unit dimensions: 785 x 560 x 265 mm (L x W x H)
Dimensions of air distributor: 556 x 496 x 46 mm (L x W x H)
Power consumption: 2.8 A
