LIONTRON Lithium 12,8/40Ah with BMS + Bluetooth

With the integrated Bluetooth 4.0 monitoring, you always have all important battery data at a glance on your smartphone or tablet. Among other things, the app displays the following data in real time:

Battery state of charge in % (SoC)
Battery voltage
Charge / discharge current
Remaining capacity
Battery temperature
Number of charge / discharge cycles
Nominal / Capacity
To connect battery and a smartphone / tablet, the device must support Bluetooth version 4.0.
Full lead-acid battery replacement with maximum service life.
Liontron LifePO4 batteries are a full 12V lead-acid battery replacement with all the advantages of lithium iron phosphate. It offers a significant weight reduction, enormous energy reserves and stable voltage even under extreme loads.

The storage battery has been specially developed to fully meet the high demands that are placed on storage batteries today. Highest security and a long life span are guaranteed also with regularly deep discharge owing to newest lithium technology. It enables an extremely high cycle life (over 3000 cycles at 80% DoD) and makes the LIONTRON® batteries the optimal traction battery.

This battery can be interchanged one-to-one with lead-acid batteries such as AGM or Gel without changing the charging or discharging structure. The battery is only suitable for 12V installation. A parallel connection to increase the capacity is possible (series connection to e.g. 24V is not possible).

More energy per kilogram.
The LIONTRON® lithium battery was specially developed as an alternative to much heavier lead batteries. The battery weighs only 11 kg and is particularly easy to transport. Due to the absolute usable capacity, it replaces lead batteries with a capacity of up to 110Ah in practice, despite the extremely light construction.

The safest lithium technology.
Absolutely Intrinsically Safe.
Our batteries are based on lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4). This is currently the safest lithium technology. In addition, our customized housings and electronics increase safety and longevity.

Each battery consists of a high-performance lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) accumulator and an integrated battery management system, or BMS for short. This constantly monitors the status of the individual cells and protects them from overcharging, overvoltage and overtemperature, among other things.

Premature failure of the storage unit due to environmental influences or incorrect use is prevented in advance by the BMS.

VRLA Technology

VRLA is the abbreviation for Valve Regulated Lead Acid, which means that the battery cells are valve regulated, and gas generated by overcharging or a cell fault can escape through a safety valve. VRLA batteries have excellent leak resistance and can be used in any position. They are absolutely maintenance free.

Sealed (VRLA) GEL batteries

In a VRLA GEL battery the electrolyte is bound in a gel of silicates. Gel batteries have a longer life and are better suited for cyclic loads. Due to their internal structure, gel batteries have a lower effective capacity at high discharge currents. On the other hand, they show a longer life under both conservation and cyclic loading conditions.

Low self discharge

Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for long periods without intermediate charging due to the use of lead-calcium grids and high purity materials. The self discharge rate is less than 2% per month at 20°C. It doubles each time the temperature rises by 10°C. When stored in a cool place, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for up to one year without intermediate charging.

Excellent behaviour after deep discharge

Victron VRLA batteries have an excellent recovery behaviour even in case of prolonged deep discharge. However, it should be noted that frequent and prolonged deep discharges can cause irreversible damage even to Victron batteries.

Discharge behaviour of the battery

The nominal capacity of Victron batteries refers to a discharge time of 20 hours i.e. a discharge current of 0.1 C. A lower discharge current increases the effective capacity and vice versa it decreases with a higher discharge current (see table in the data sheet).
