WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We, the Lippe Tourismus & Marketing GmbH, have the task of marketing the region "Land of Hermann" in the sense of its shareholders. This is done in the areas of tourism and location marketing through internal and external marketing.
In this area, we fulfil the task of supplying all Lippe towns and communities, and thus of course also the businesses located there from the retail, gastronomy and hotel sectors, with incoming traffic and purchasing power.
Our core tasks are: market research & evaluation, service for guests & tourism partners, tourism marketing, press & public relations, product development, cooperations & networks as well as projects.
The basis of our tourism marketing is the analysis of statistical data and trend studies as well as our own evaluation, which has been carried out continuously since 2009.
The evaluation is based on three pillars. Firstly, there is a survey of the region's excursion destinations, secondly, larger selected events and thirdly, special surveys on specific topics. In 2016, more than 10,000 visitors were surveyed in this context.
The further development of service quality is a permanent process for us. Therefore, we have participated in the project "Service Q" of the German Tourism Association just like numerous regional tourist information offices and have been awarded. In addition, we also have trained certifiers for the awarding of stars for holiday apartments/chalets and guesthouses, quality coaches for hiking-friendly businesses, can evaluate the bicycle-friendly businesses according to the criteria of the ADFC as a bed + bike business and certify quality hiking trails, according to the criteria of the German Hiking Association.
In addition to our core tasks, we participate in and support projects that are intended to make the region even more attractive.
