The Henry Ford Story
With his visionary idea of bringing a vehicle to market that was affordable for everyone, Henry Ford changed the lives of countless people. At the same time, he developed the moving assembly line and other mass production methods, setting new industrial standards in the first half of the 20th century.
Henry Ford was born on June 30, 1863, the first-born son of William and Mary Ford in Wayne County, Michigan. Together with his five siblings, he grew up on the flourishing family farm and showed an unusually high interest in mechanical connections at a very early age. Later, the farmer's son would make history as one of the world's greatest industrialists.
